La Fiesta Mexicana is a family-owned restaurant with the goal to deliver authentic Mexican food inspired by the food the owners, Zaide, Mirella, and Ivan, grew up eating in the south of Mexico. Their goal has been to serve food from scratch starting with their fresh handmade tortillas and original salsa made in-house.

Previously owning a restaurant in DeLeón Springs, Florida, Zaide and Mirella knew Haines City was the perfect location to share the flavors they grew up with and began the journey with Zaide’s brother, Ivan. They stumbled across a small restaurant that sat 70 people in 2006 and after 13 years they outgrew their downtown location and expanded to 150 seats with a full-sized bar equipped with an extended variety of tequila, amongst other domestic and Mexican alcohol.

Zaide began his career in the kitchen at 16, working his way up from dishwasher to sous-chef at a high-end restaurant in downtown Chicago, where Mirella worked in the front of the house as a hostess. His love for the art of cooking has always been inspired by his mom and her recipes influence La Fiesta Mexicana’s menu to this day.
